brighton yoga festival

Brighton Yoga Festival is a ‘Festival For Everybody’

First launched in 2014 by the Brighton Yoga Foundation, the festival is now organised by the Brighton Community Events CIC team working closely with and to support the Brighton Natural Health Foundation (BNHF)

who are bce

Brighton Community Events CIC (BCE), is a not for profit community interest company, that will be organising and leading the festival, working to raise funds and awareness of the Brighton Yoga Foundation and its important outreach projects.

bringing people together

The festival will be run to bring people together across the yoga community, supporting teachers and businesses and to help reach those in the wider community who are not yet aware of the benefits of yoga. It is open to all, regardless of age, experience or fitness levels.

The festival will run as a low cost affordable festival, with a number of free entry tickets for those unable to pay. Run primarily by volunteers with funds raised going to support the Brighton Yoga Foundation and other future community events led by BCE.

So what does this mean now? The festival will still be the one you all know and love – just the way it is organised and processed is changing. The proceeds of the festival will still support us and we’ll of course be a big presence on the day too.

Online Event

A difficult year. We planned a hybrid event - live and in person on 24 July and online on 25 July. But at short notice a huge spike in Covid cases locally caused the cancellation of the live event. We live streamed 13 workshops with teachers from around the world and the UK and a discussion on the future of yoga post-pandemic.

With the pandemic in full flow, we had no alternative but to take the 2020 Festival online. At relatively short notice we presented 4 top quality teachers from around the world and the UK to teach online workshops and also hosted a panel on “Black Lives Matter – diversity within the yoga community”. More than 300 people attended the sessions.
