BNHF’s mission is to make mindful movement—like yoga, qigong, and Pilates—accessible to everyone, especially communities facing health inequalities.
We offer free or low-cost, trauma-sensitive mindful movement classes (e.g., yoga, qigong, Pilates) in-person and online for people who would otherwise be unable to afford it.
Our classes are for people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access them. We work with people facing health inequalities, mental and physical health difficulties and economic disadvantage.
Mindful movement means bringing awareness to your body and breath during movement practice. This cultivates present moment awareness and feeling grounded and centred. Yoga, qigong, tai chi and Pilates are all types of mindful movement.
We mostly teach yoga, qigong, Pilates and general mindful movement classes in community venues throughout Brighton. Please see our classes page for more information
Our classes are for people who would otherwise not be able to access a mindful movement class because of financial constraints or for other reasons which mean they may feel excluded from ‘studio’ classes. We do however have a list of low cost community classes on our website from other providers for people who do not fall into this category. Please contact us at info@bnhf.org if you would like to know more
We work with generous funders who see the value of our work and help us to share the benefits of mindful movement with people who need it most.
