Brighton Natural Health Foundation Community Classes offers free, inclusive and trauma sensitive classes for people who would otherwise be unable to access them. If you are able to pay anything towards the cost of your class – please click below.

Pilates 6-week course starting on the 11th november 2025

Time: 9.15-10.15am
Teacher: Julia Logue
Class Description: An accessible pilates class for all levels. Booking essential.
Venue: The Crew Club, Whitehawk, Brighton
Accessibility: Step free access.
Cost: no cost

Gentle Yoga Online (drop-in)

Time: 10-10.45am
Teacher: Charlie Griffin
Class Description: This class is gentle wake up into the week. Bringing movement into the body with mindful awareness, self-compassion, and gentle inquiry to release tension, create space within body & mind and to reconnect back to yourself. This class is suitable for all, including those who are new to yoga.
Venue: Zoom
Cost: £2 optional donation

Chair Yoga for Chronic Health Conditions

Time: 11-12pm (drop-in)
Teacher: Tiffany Mendel
Class Description: The practices shared in this chair yoga class are designed to support the management of chronic health conditions. The intention is to create a safe space for exploring sensation, understanding your relationship to it and learning skills to manage your pain. In this friendly, supportive and welcoming group, there is no right way to practice, only the way that suits you and your body on the day.

Therapeutic Yoga for self-identifying women

Time: 2.30-3.30pm
Class Name: Sarah Pailthorpe
Class Description: This class is held in 6-week terms. It is a restorative and floor based, incorporating some gentle movement and breathing. Spending time reconnecting to the body and breath in a safe and kind way. This class is suitable for people new to yoga.
Venue: Studio in central Brighton.
Accessibility: There is a short flight of stairs to enter the building but the studio and toilets are one the same level.
Cost: £2 optional donation per class

Therapeutic Yoga for self-identifying women ( these classes are held in 6-week terms)

Time: 10.30-11.30am
Teacher: Tammy McCann
Class Description: A gentle and therapeutic session, suitable for those who have experienced trauma, chronic illness, and mental health challenges. An invitational, held space where we come together to move, breathe, and take time to listen to our body’s inner wisdom. This class is suitable for people who are new to yoga.

Venue: Studio in central Brighton
Accessibility: There is a short flight of stairs to enter the building but the studio and toilets are one the same level.
Cost: £2 optional donation per class

Mindful Movement for aged 50+ residents in Whitehawk

Time: 1.30-2pm
Teacher: Tammy McCann
Class Description: A gentle chair based practice to bring ease to body and mind. This is a friendly and welcoming space and suitable for all.
Venue: Robert Lodge, Whitehawk

Gentle Yoga - Hangleton & Knoll Project

Time: 6-7pm
Teacher: Tiffany Mendel
Class Description: This class is for the local community. It explores yoga through postures, breath and meditation to expand into mind and body whilst building strength slowly. The focus is always on listening to your body and moving at your own pace.
Venue: Hangleton & Knoll Project
Cost: £3 optional donation.

Qigoing for Health and Wellbeing

Time: 1.30-2.30pm
Teacher: Sophie Gibson
Class Description: A gentle class with slow movements, to help balance the body and mind. Suitable for everybody
Venue: St Davids Hall, Whitehawk
Cost: £2 optional donation.

Therapeutic Yoga & Relaxation (drop-in)

Time: 6.30-7.15pm
Teacher: Megan Lloyd
Class Description: This class is designed to help the mind and body slow down, creating an opportunity to step into a state of deep rest. The class includes mindful movement, breath awareness and practices, and a 20-minute guided relaxation. This class is suitable for those who are new to yoga.
